Pharmacology
NAPA 500 MG contains Paracetamol (Acetaminophen), a widely used antipyretic and analgesic. It works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the brain, thereby reducing fever and relieving pain. It does not have anti-inflammatory properties like NSAIDs, making it gentler on the stomach.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet (500 mg) every 4–6 hours as needed
Maximum: Not more than 4 grams (8 tablets) in 24 hours
Should be taken with water, with or without food
Do not exceed the recommended dose
Interaction
Concurrent use with other paracetamol-containing products may lead to overdose
Long-term use may increase the effect of warfarin (blood thinner)
Avoid alcohol consumption due to increased risk of liver toxicity
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol
Severe liver impairment
Alcoholic liver disease

Rare: rash, urticaria, allergic reactions
Overdose may cause serious liver damage
Generally well tolerated at recommended doses
Pregnancy & Lactation
Considered safe in pregnancy and breastfeeding if used as directed

Precautions & Warnings
