Indications:
BILEXA (BEXICAP) 200/25 is indicated for:

Treatment of advanced Parkinson's disease symptoms.

Management of motor fluctuations such as "wearing-off" and "on-off" phenomena.

Reduction of bradykinesia, rigidity, and tremors associated with Parkinson’s disease.
Pharmacology:
-
Levodopa (200 mg): Converts to dopamine in the brain, replenishing depleted dopamine levels to relieve Parkinson’s symptoms.

Carbidopa (25 mg): Inhibits peripheral decarboxylation of Levodopa, ensuring greater availability in the central nervous system and reducing peripheral side effects like nausea.
Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 1 capsule taken 2-3 times daily, or as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Administer with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects, though high-protein meals should be avoided as they may interfere with Levodopa absorption.
Interaction:

Do not use with non-selective MAO inhibitors due to severe hypertensive risk.

Protein-rich diets or iron supplements may decrease the effectiveness of Levodopa.

Monitor interactions with antihypertensive agents, antidepressants, or antipsychotic drugs.
Contraindications:
