Zedex 20MG Tablet is indicated for the treatment of:
-
Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
-
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) to improve urinary symptoms.
-
Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) as prescribed by a physician.
Pharmacology:
Tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, works by increasing blood flow to the penile area during sexual stimulation and relaxing the smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder to improve urinary symptoms in BPH.
Dosage and Administration:

Erectile Dysfunction: 10-20 mg taken before anticipated sexual activity, not exceeding once daily.

BPH: 5 mg daily at the same time each day or as directed by the physician.

Administer orally with or without food.
Interaction:

Avoid concomitant use with nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) due to risk of severe hypotension.

Use cautiously with alpha-blockers or antihypertensive drugs.
-
May interact with alcohol, increasing dizziness.
Contraindications:
-
Known hypersensitivity to Tadalafil or other PDE5 inhibitors.

Patients taking nitrates or guanylate cyclase stimulators.

Severe cardiovascular conditions or recent stroke.
Side Effects:

Common: Headache, indigestion, back pain, muscle aches, nasal congestion, and flushing.

Rare: Sudden vision or hearing loss, prolonged erections (priapism).
Pregnancy & Lactation:

Not indicated for use in women.

Should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding individuals unless explicitly prescribed for other conditions.
Precautions & Warnings:

Seek medical attention for erections lasting more than 4 hours.

Use cautiously in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease.
