AXODIN 50ML Suspension is indicated for:
-
Relief of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, nasal congestion, and runny nose.
-
Treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) in children, reducing itching and lesion size.
Pharmacology:
AXODIN Suspension contains Fexofenadine Hydrochloride, a second-generation non-sedating H1-receptor antagonist.

It works by inhibiting the action of histamine, alleviating allergic symptoms without causing sedation.
Dosage & Administration:

Children (2-11 years): 30 mg (5 mL) twice daily.

Children (6 months-2 years): 15 mg (2.5 mL) twice daily.
-
Can be taken with or without food.

Shake well before use.
Interaction:

Avoid taking with aluminum or magnesium-based antacids as they may reduce absorption of Fexofenadine.

Consult a physician before combining with other antihistamines.
Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to Fexofenadine or any of its components.
Side Effects:

Common: Headache, fatigue, nausea, dry mouth.

Rare: Drowsiness, gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness.

Pregnancy: Limited data available; not typically used in children for pregnant women.
