CURIN 5MG is indicated for:
Management of overactive bladder (OAB).
Reduction of urinary urgency, frequency, and incontinence.
Pharmacology
Solifenacin Succinate is a competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist that decreases bladder muscle activity, thereby reducing the symptoms of overactive bladder.
Dosage and Administration
The usual dose is 5 mg once daily, taken orally.
Can be taken with or without food.
Dosage may be increased to 10 mg daily if necessary and tolerated.
Interaction
Use cautiously with other anticholinergic drugs to avoid additive effects.
May interact with CYP3A4 inhibitors like ketoconazole, increasing solifenacin levels.
Avoid use with QT-prolonging medications to reduce arrhythmia risk.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Solifenacin or any ingredient in the formulation.
Urinary retention, uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma, or severe gastrointestinal conditions like paralytic ileus.
Side Effects
Common: Dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and drowsiness.
Rare: Severe allergic reactions, urinary retention, or palpitations.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
Not recommended during breastfeeding unless clearly necessary.
