Indications:
TYCIL DS Syrup is indicated for treating various bacterial infections in children, including respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and skin infections.
Pharmacology:
This syrup contains Ticarcillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic. It inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
Dosage & Administration:

Children: Dose is based on body weight and infection severity, usually 250 mg to 500 mg daily divided into 3 or 4 doses.
Shake well before use. Follow physician's instructions carefully.
Interaction:
May interact with aminoglycosides, anticoagulants, and oral contraceptives. Inform the doctor about all other medications being taken.
Contraindications:
Not to be used in patients allergic to penicillin or cephalosporins.
Side Effects:
May cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, rash, or allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor. Use cautiously during breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor kidney and liver function if used for a long time. Watch for allergic reactions.
