Indications:
Treatment of dry, non-productive cough
Relief of cough due to common cold, throat irritation, or allergies
Pharmacology:
Acts centrally on the brain’s cough center to reduce the cough reflex, thereby suppressing coughing.
Dosage:
Adults and children over 12 years: Usually 1 mg as directed by the physician
Dosage adjustment may be required for children under 12 years
Administration:
Oral administration with or without food
Follow doctor’s instructions precisely
Interaction:
Avoid concurrent use with other CNS depressants or alcohol. Inform doctor about all medicines being taken.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to Tofen or related compounds
Productive cough where mucus clearance is needed
