Indications:
Odrel 75mg is indicated for prevention of cardiovascular events such as myocardial infarction (heart attack), ischemic stroke, and transient ischemic attacks (TIA). It is also used in patients with angina and after certain heart surgeries.
Pharmacology:
Contains Aspirin, an antiplatelet agent that inhibits platelet aggregation, preventing blood clot formation and improving blood flow.
Dosage:
Usually, one 75mg tablet once daily or as prescribed by the doctor.
Administration:
Take orally with water, preferably after meals to minimize stomach irritation.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, NSAIDs, corticosteroids, and certain blood pressure medicines. Inform your physician about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with allergy to aspirin, active peptic ulcer, bleeding disorders, or severe liver/kidney disease.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include stomach upset, bleeding, bruising, and rarely allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Consult doctor before use while breastfeeding.
Precautions & Warnings:
Avoid use before surgery due to bleeding risk. Monitor for signs of bleeding or allergic reactions. Use cautiously in patients with asthma.
