Indications:
Numira 5/5mg is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients who need combination therapy for better control.
Pharmacology:
This tablet contains Amlodipine (5mg), a calcium channel blocker, and Losartan (5mg), an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Together, they relax blood vessels and reduce blood pressure by different mechanisms.
Dosage:
Typically, one tablet once daily or as prescribed by the physician.
Administration:
Take orally with or without food at the same time every day. Swallow whole without crushing or chewing.
Interaction:
May interact with other blood pressure medicines, potassium supplements, NSAIDs, and lithium. Inform your doctor about all medications.
Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Amlodipine, Losartan, or any component of the tablet. Avoid in pregnancy and severe liver or kidney impairment.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include dizziness, swelling, headache, fatigue, and cough.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless clearly needed and prescribed by a doctor.
Precautions & Warnings:
Monitor blood pressure and kidney function regularly. Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney problems.
