Pharmacology
NAPA Extra contains Paracetamol 500 mg, a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic, and Caffeine 65 mg, a mild central nervous system stimulant that enhances the pain-relieving effect of paracetamol. This combination works synergistically to provide faster and more effective relief from headaches and associated symptoms.
Dosage & Administration
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet every 4–6 hours as needed
Maximum: Not more than 8 tablets in 24 hours
Should be swallowed whole with water
Not recommended for children under 12 years of age
Interaction
Avoid using other paracetamol-containing drugs to prevent overdose
Caffeine may interact with MAO inhibitors, certain antibiotics, and CNS stimulants
Chronic use with warfarin may increase bleeding risk
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol or caffeine
Severe liver disease
Peptic ulcer
Patients with known caffeine sensitivity
