Indications:
TYCLAV 375MG is indicated for treating infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and other bacterial infections sensitive to this antibiotic combination.
Pharmacology:
The capsule contains amoxicillin, a beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, and clavulanic acid, which inhibits beta-lactamase enzymes, protecting amoxicillin from degradation and extending its spectrum.
Dosage & Administration:
Adults: Typically one 375 mg capsule every 8 to 12 hours or as prescribed.
Take with food to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, methotrexate, and oral contraceptives. Consult your doctor if taking other medicines.
Contraindications:
Not suitable for patients allergic to penicillin, cephalosporins, or clavulanic acid.
