Indications:
TYCLAV BID Syrup is indicated for treating respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and other bacterial infections sensitive to this combination.
Pharmacology:
Contains amoxicillin, a beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, and clavulanic acid, which protects amoxicillin from degradation by beta-lactamase producing bacteria, increasing its effectiveness.
Dosage & Administration:
Children and adults: Dose as prescribed by the physician, usually twice daily.
Shake well before use. Take after meals to reduce stomach upset.
Interaction:
May interact with anticoagulants, oral contraceptives, and other medications. Inform your doctor about all medications taken.
Contraindications:
Not suitable for patients allergic to penicillins or clavulanic acid.
Side Effects:
Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, rash, and allergic reactions.
Pregnancy & Lactation:
