Pharmacology
NAPA Syrup contains Paracetamol, which acts as a centrally acting analgesic and antipyretic. It reduces fever by acting on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center and relieves pain by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The syrup formulation allows for easy administration to young children.
Dosage & Administration
Children 2-3 months: 10–15 mg/kg every 6–8 hours
Children 4 months to 12 years: Dose based on body weight (usually 2.5 mL to 10 mL every 4–6 hours)
Maximum: Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours
Shake well before use. Administer using measuring cup or dropper provided
Interaction
Avoid with other paracetamol-containing products
Long-term use with anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin) may increase bleeding risk
Alcohol use should be avoided in older children/adolescents
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to paracetamol
Severe liver disease
Side Effects
Rare: rash, allergic reactions, liver damage in overdose

Pregnancy & Lactation
Not applicable for pediatric use
For mothers: paracetamol is safe in pregnancy and lactation when used as advised
